Fast new 3D printing method creates objects as big as an adult human

sciencemag.org
  • Manufacturing of car and airplane cars could be revolutionized by 3D printer that builds largest objects to date at high speeds.
  • The printer uses a method known as continuous liquid interface production, in which a robot “pulls out” ready objects from a space filled with liquid resin.
  • Now it was improved by adding liquid coolant under the resin, and an additional cooling unit, enabling the printing of objects 4 meters high.
  • The company that created the printer is planning to release it in the first half of 2021.
